Raven's Roost Tarot Circle Meeting November 2014

I'm trying to organize a local tarot circle where a group of readers can discuss tarot, read/work through tarot books together and do practice readings on each other.  We had our first meeting at a Rachel's Roost's pagan group meeting so this is an offshoot of a local women's circle.

The next meeting is going to be in my home on the Saturday November 22 at 6:30 pm.  I'll have water, tea and coffee otherwise bring your own drinks and a finger food to share. We will be handling tarot cards so we don't want messy or sticky munchies!

In the first class we'll be working together to create personal tarot profiles.  The documents I created for this meeting were developed using Mary Greer's workbook "Tarot for Yourself: A Workbook for Personal Transformation." Please bring the "Creating a Personal Tarot Profile" pdf packet. It can can be downloaded and printed from the following link:

For this meeting you will need your Zodiac Natal Chart information.  If you don't know your Zodiac Sun sign, Moon sign and Rising sign please go to the Astrolabe website:

follow the instructions to get your free natal chart.  You can print it out and bring it to the meeting.

We will also discuss some tarot workbooks that we can do together as a group.  There are two books that I think will work great and be of interest for both beginner and experienced readers:

Many readers, even experienced ones, have difficulty reading the cards for themselves. Tthis book is a really nice workbook for getting comfortable with using the cards for yourself as well as for others.  An added plus is that you can buy used at amazon for cheap aaannnnd you can get an ebook version as well!

The other book I like Dusty White's

The Easiest Way to Learn the Tarot - Ever!! (click the title to link to the amazon listing)

This book is not available as an ebook and used is not a whole lot cheaper than new but it is a great workbook for learning the tarot and for developing intuitive tarot reading skills.

Both books are workbooks that you can write in!

Lastly, I've created a google website where I can post documents for tarot circle meetings and for Raven's Roost meetings, ceremonies and workshops. Here is the link to take you there;
